Commercial Lines Account Manager - Gulfport, MS


Our client is a reputable independent agency with a strong commercial insurance platform.  Large account retention is extremely important to the vitality of the organization.  This position, Commercial Insurance Account Manager, will assume responsibility for an established book of middle market accounts with a mixture of regional accounts with large property, general liability and coastal exposures.  In this role you will serve as a technical resource alongside experienced producers.  Your involvement in furthering the agency’s relationship with the insured is critical.
Commercial Lines Account Manager Responsibilities
  • You’ll assist the sales executive in marketing and servicing a large book of business.
  • Responsibilities include creating submissions, analyzing loss information and generating premium rates and audits.
  • You’ll be the primary client service contact and assist with endorsement requests, insurance proposals, and other policy related issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in all aspects of the renewal process- analyzing current coverage, changes in exposure, claims history, billing, marketing strategy, RFPs and designing proposal presentations.
Commercial Lines Account Manager Requirements
  • At least three (3) years of experience in property and casualty insurance; work in a similar client service role or in a commercial underwriting position will be considered.
  • You must have experience working with property based accounts as well as other major coverage lines like general liability, commercial auto, work comp and excess/umbrella; familiarity with Acord apps, renewal markets and pricing negotiations.
  • Active state insurance license.
  • Strong oral and written communication; working knowledge of Microsoft and agency management systems like TAM and Applied; experience with paperless office systems is helpful.

Commercial Insurance Producer - Pensacola, FL


Our client is an independent, multi-state agency driven by a full service platform that includes commercial risk management and large corporate benefits.  The agency’s Pensacola office is in a growth mode, and this position, Commercial Insurance Producer, has been created as a response.  The goal of this position is to put an experienced sales executive in a position to develop a profitable book of business with middle market and risk management insureds targeted throughout the Gulf South region.
Commercial Insurance Producer Responsibilities
  • Create and execute a sales plan tailored to a geographic region currently being underserved or based around a network of business clients you have in a particular niche discipline.
  • Foster a referral system based on team selling, working closely with the benefits unit and developing centers of influence in the business community.
Commercial Insurance Producer Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 2-3 years of commercial insurance sales experience with success managing C-suite relationships, prospecting and closing new business and participating in the ongoing client service process.

Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist - Baton Rouge, LA


Our client is a multi-state regional brokerage that relies on centralized marketing to ensure a high level of account retention and success with new business opportunities.  Account managers and producers will lean on your program expertise and market awareness to recommend the best course of action for remarketing accounts and creating packages that meet the client’s pricing and coverage needs.  As a Commercial Marketing Specialist, you’ll be given a lot of autonomy to develop relationships with underwriters, taken on complex and high profile accounts and even interact closely with the insureds when preparing renewals and presenting proposals.
Property and Casualty Marketing Specialist Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the effective marketing of insurance risks to companies in accordance with the practices, policies and procedures of the agency.
  • Market all lines of commercial insurance and directly impact revenue goals through the acquisition of new business and retention of renewals.
  • Pre-underwrite commercial accounts within insurance company delegated underwriting authority, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Act as account liaison for the producer in dealing with other departments of the agency for quoting of specialized lines of coverage.
  • Effectively build relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, visitations and good negotiations.
Property and Casualty Marketing Specialist Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3-5 years of commercial insurance experience heavily involved in placement of business and pricing negotiations; this can come from time as an Account Manager in an agency with decentralized marketing, as a wholesale broker or underwriting assistant or as a commercial lines underwriter seeking a new career on the agency side.
  • Excellent presentation skills; comfortable being out of the office with the sales team to discuss coverage plans with clients.

Commercial Insurance Producer - Memphis, TN


Our client is an established independent broker with large scale business operations in Tennessee.  With the resources to insure a multitude of commercial and personal insurance risks, they have the capacity to provide programs for clients on a national scale. The Houston office will be the centerpiece of the agency’s growth over the next eighteen months.  The agency intends to make significant investments on the hiring of new property and casualty producers.
Commercial Insurance Producer Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a middle market business development platform.
  • Seek out referral sources within the agency or through local business contacts.
  • Actively participate in the complete client service process by taking the lead on risk management consultation, claims advocacy and renewal strategy.
  • Push the agency’s Texas networking opportunities either through specialty industries or geographically into other in-state markets; there is current specialization in energy, manufacturing and real estate in the Houston office.
Commercial Insurance Producer Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least three (3) years of insurance or business-to-business sales experience; for non-insurance experience to be applicable your sales style must be consultative and to C-level decision makers.

Employee Benefits Account Executive - Minneapolis, MN


Our client is a progressive insurance brokerage deeply rooted in its group benefits consulting platform. The firm has developed a very successful sales process in Minneapolis that attracts large corporate benefits accounts that starts with a few hundred employees to several thousand. Supporting local and regional accounts of this magnitude requires excellence balancing technical issues of complex group employee benefits plans with strong client relationship management skills. This position, Benefits Consultant, Account Executive, will be a major component of the agency's client service team. A person assuming this role must be an experienced handler of sophisticated group medical plans working directly with the insured.

Benefits Consultant, Account Executive Responsibilities:
Handle the day-to-day client management duties of fully funded and self-insured plans with an emphasis on large accounts.
Account analysis: cost trends, projections and drivers; opportunities to match services and plans to a client's portfolio; reports on market changes and renewal strategies.
Accountable for the growth of the assigned book of business: acquisition of new business on existing accounts; customer satisfaction that leads to a high retention rate; develop and execute the bid/RFP/renewal plan.


Benefits Consultant, Account Executive Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is highly preferred however equivalent work experience that shows progressive movement in duties and responsibilities will be considered.
State life and health license is required.
At least five (5) years of account management and/or senior client service experience handling group medical accounts directly is required.
Strong financial and analytical background; in one moment be able to quantify and interpret group medical and ancillary claims data and in the next be the lead point of contact for insureds resolving policy issues and handling renewal cases.

Director of Commercial Lines Operations Responsibilities
  • Leadership- management of commercial account managers, account executives and team supervisors; set performance guidelines, accountability measures, review and hiring procedures.

Regional Vice President, Employee Benefits - Little Rock, AR

This position, Regional Vice President, Employee Benefits, will take the lead on managing all the group benefits activity for a three-state region. You’ll be stepping into an exciting time as the agency is planning to develop even more resources within its corporate benefits platform and continues to expand through new business origination and acquisitions. Regional Vice President, Employee Benefits Responsibilities
  • Operations: Participate in budget planning, staff management and lead projects designed to improve the efficiency and profitability of the group benefits division. Could include technology changes, vendor management and recruiting. Also look to pull in corporate resources and initiatives involved in compliance, Best Practices and employee development.
  • Sales Management: Partner with the president and executive practice leaders on sales performance, goal setting and recruiting for producers in your division. Work on a strategy to create and implement sales platforms that focus on a blend of middle market and national accounts targeting. Serve as a resource for the producers either opening referral streams, presenting on and closing business, or pulling together necessary service resources for new accounts. Help troubleshoot difficult renewals, stepping in with underwriting negotiations; motivating producers and getting the maximum performance out of them, both veterans and developing newer hires.
Regional Vice President, Employee Benefits Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree is required; advanced education or professional designations is highly desired.
  • At least ten (10) years of progressive career success within an insurance agency or brokerage where you’ve been involved in leadership through a combination of marketing, sales and operations. This is not a production role though direct client connections you could bring would certainly be welcome to growing the benefits practice. However your demonstrated success lies more in how you have built up the people and book around you not just as an individual sales contributor.
  • Have a sales philosophy and vision for managing a successful benefits practice; understand how to work within the confines of an existing division to make small improvements; be a leader who is a resource provider, a terrific coach and someone perceived to bring value to the producers and managers.
  • Be able to work closely with the executive team; be held accountable for growth and profitability; sit comfortably at the table with area presidents and corporate directors of the strategy for organic growth as well as acquisition opportunities.
