Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist - Baton Rouge, LA


Our client is a large regional and national agency who is growing and currently looking for a commercial lines Marketing Specialist in their Baton Rouge area office.  They are seeking a dynamic individual who will bring high energy, good work ethic, and an entrepreneurial spirit to the position, along with strong technical skills and past agency experience focused on commercial lines risks.



Marketing Specialist, Commercial Lines Responsibilities
Responsible for the effective marketing of insurance risks to companies in accordance with the practices, policies, and procedures of the agency.
Assist in the analysis of line of business and insurance company production trends and make recommendations to correct deficiencies.
Market all lines of commercial insurance and directly impact revenue goals through the acquisition of new business and retention of renewals.
Underwrite commercial accounts within insurance company delegated underwriting authority, guidelines, and procedures.
Act as account liaison for the producer in dealing with other departments of the agency for quoting of specialized lines of coverage.
Assist producers with pre-underwriting information gathering and coverage analysis if needed.
Effectively build relationships with insurance company underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions, visitations, and good negotiations.

Marketing Specialist, Commercial Lines Requirements
Bachelor's degree required.
3-5 years of marketing or commercial lines underwriting experience.
Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Office Suite.
Niches preferred include construction, property, and auto dealerships.
