Senior Commercial Insurance Producer, Agriculture-GA

To be competitive and increase business development opportunities many insurance brokerages are concentrating on building verticals.  This means more than a producer choosing to specialize in a particular industry.  A vertical niche, like agriculture in this instance, is about creating a platform where producers have specific centers of influence, develop a knowledge base of a particular business segment and manage marketing and service resources through critical mass.  This position is a terrific opportunity with a regional Southeast brokerage to focus on the development of agribusiness and farm and ranch operations.

Senior Commercial Insurance Producer, Agriculture Responsibilities:
  • Concentrate on developing a pipeline of agribusiness, farm and ranch, livestock confinement and other ag related property driven operations in areas of the Southeast where economically ag business is thriving.  This will probably include the Carolinas south to Florida and then west into Texas.
  • Develop centers of influence to create referral streams and forge key underwriting alliances with competitive markets writing good accounts in this space.
  • Work closely with the agency’s senior leadership to identify challenges or the opportunity to recreate success in this vertical.  Assist with building out a service and marketing platform to support your new business production as well as other producers also focusing in this space.

Senior Commercial Insurance Producer, Agriculture Requirements:
  • First and foremost you must be a producer; someone who is a true hunter and originator of new business with a successful track record of doing so with a retail agency or insurance brokerage.
  • Be willing to tackle an emerging market and participate in discussions about strategic design and building up some resources from the ground floor.
  • Be open to expanding your geographic footprint with the travel involved to write accounts in a regional footprint.

Senior Commercial Producer-AL

Our client is multi-state regional agency that grows through its strong partnership with its banking parent company.  As the bank grows through acquisition so grows the insurance division which now includes Alabama in this footprint.  Thus, the agency is looking for an experienced commercial insurance sales executive to step into a newly formed division that will oversee business development for the entire state of Alabama.  The agency doesn’t pose a geographic restriction on your sales but will encourage in-state prospecting because of the bank’s opportunities and your familiarity with the area.

Senior Commercial Producer, Alabama Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute a business development plan focused on middle market commercial accounts making a strong push for clients in Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile.
  • Capitalize on the bank’s work into the state by developing business partnerships with the bankers.
  • Support the agency’s establishment of an Alabama region by getting involved in strategic discussions about support infrastructure, employee benefits cross selling, marketing contracts and planning for a full service satellite office.
Senior Commercial Producer, Alabama Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is highly preferred with at least five (5) years of experience as a commercial insurance producer with a retail agency; must have demonstrated success developing business in the state of Alabama.
  • Able to cover a wide territory within the state with time spent in all three major cities to develop local business networks.
  • Interested in being involved in building out the infrastructure of a full service office; able to work independently and seek out remote resources that exist in other offices throughout the Southeast.
