Commercial Lines Account Executive - Rockford, IL

The Commercial Lines Account Executive plays a critical role in retaining a large, established book of business heavily concentrated in the construction industry.  The opportunity to grow with this agency is tremendous and will allow you to help lead all client management, relationship building and new sales opportunities as you wish.  The key to success in this position is having a strong technical foundation in middle market and risk management insurance plans with a thorough understanding of the onboarding and renewal process.  This is a very autonomous position that may for the right individual will work without the direction of a producer, may assume a book of business through upcoming retirements and handle some sales responsibilities too.

Commercial Lines Account Executive Responsibilities
  • Assist a senior producer with the preparation of new business and renewal submissions, including gathering and organizing information required.  Follow up with underwriters on submissions and negotiate premium and coverage with insurance carriers.
  • Determine marketing and client management strategies servicing as the primary point of contact for the clients, underwriters and account management team.
  • Evaluate quotes for compliance with requested coverages and client needs.  Compare quote options from various carriers and look for deficiencies in quotes and ‘subject to’ requirements. Review applications, policies, endorsements, audits, and cancellations for accuracy and invoice all premium-bearing transactions on a timely basis.
  • Communicate with clients and companies regarding insurance, claims, or administrative problems and complies with the request and/or refers to the producer when necessary.

Commercial Lines Account Executive Requirements
  • At least 5-7 years of senior commercial account management or account executive level work for a retail insurance agency and/or insurance brokerage.  Some underwriting and marketing/placement experience is helpful from a program design and negotiation standpoint.
  • Account types will vary but with a concentration in heavy casualty, industrial and construction.  Experience working with these types of risks is desired.
  • Very detailed market knowledge on rates, forms and coverage issues pertaining to placing business with regional and national insurance companies.
  • State insurance license is required.  Insurance designation like CIC, ARM or CPCU is helpful but not required.

Claims Service Specialist-Chicago – Western Suburbs, IL

The role of Commercial Lines Claims Manager is a special position that will oversee all the management of cases for this independent agency in Chicago.  It’s an opportunity for an experienced property and casualty claims professional to redesign the functionality of the agency’s claims department and show how true advocacy, consultation and client service can flow from this person directly to the insured and also impact the work with the account management and sales teams. This is part of the agency’s ongoing commitment to client service and value added resources for its business and personal lines insureds.

Claims Service Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal and external parties as well as directly with the clients during the claims process. Create files for new incoming claims, gather and manage requests for information and work with insurance company adjusters to settle open claims.
  • Develop a claims review process with the account management and sales teams to communicate with clients throughout the year on claims handling.  Visit with clients in a consultative way about appropriate procedures and review loss run activity.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with underwriters, adjusters and risk management professionals to settle claims but also provide advocacy and handle negotiations as needed.  Issue drafts and other correspondence with clients related to coverage findings and settlements.

Claims Service Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • At least 5-8 years of property and casualty claims adjusting experience; supervisory or management experience is preferred but not required.
  • As the agency’s claims leader you will be exposed to many different types of claims.  Therefore, you must be able to handle property, casualty and workers compensation claims.
  • Ability to see the claims process beyond the transaction; can manage expectations and create an action plan alongside the agency’s producers and the insured.

Client Services Executive, Captives-Chicago, IL

Our client is a large regional brokerage that is experiencing explosive growth in Chicago currently. Their captive and private equity practice is in need of a dynamic individual to join their team as a Client Service Executive.

Client Service Executive, Captives Responsibilities:
  • Support Captive and Private Equity Practices, in conjunction with the Practice Leader, to serve as a risk management consultant and insurance advisor in this industry. 
  • Work closely with the Practice Leader in the effort to lead growth/development Private Equity (PE) Merger & Acquisition (M&A) and Captive practices. 
  • Work with clients to complete M&A due diligence activities and render a report with appropriate findings; work with insurance carriers to arrange partnerships for the benefit of PE-M&A solutions. 
  • Project manage initial captive prefeasibility analysis using existing financial and forecasting tools and manage the development of policy language for captive client opportunities. 
  • Work with Client Executives and Office Heads in the production of new business revenue and client retention. 
  • Support the Practice Leader in identifying opportunities resulting in revenue retention and growth through new accounts; and maximize revenue growth and ROI, by utilizing Client Executives, Risk Practice Associates and the M&A dedicated team to create and deliver client solutions. 

Client Service Executive, Captives Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of insurance experience with a valid resident state agent’s license. 
  • Proven success in a role facilitating consultative engagements related to, the captive insurance industry, emphasizing risk advisory feasibility, modeling, fact pattern analysis, and implementation services; 
  • Ability to apply the following technical areas within the captive insurance industry: risk management and/or risk financing, insurance placement background; primary casualty program design, especially loss sensitive and collateral backed programs; and financial modeling.

Commercial Insurance Account Manager-Northwest Indiana

This position, Commercial Insurance Account Manager, will work closely with the managing producers in this northwest Indiana agency to service an established book of property and casualty clients.  The accounts require someone experienced in handling the life cycle of a middle market commercial accounts including marketing, client consultation and renewal management. 


Commercial Insurance Account Manager Responsibilities

  • You'll assist the producer in marketing and servicing a book of middle market property and casualty accounts.
  • Responsibilities include creating submissions, analyzing loss information and generating premium rates and audits.
  • You'll be the primary client service contact and assist with endorsement requests, insurance proposals and other policy related issues in a timely manner.

Commercial Insurance Account Manager Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of property and casualty insurance experience in a service role such as Account Manager or Client Service Representative.
  • Experience working with several commercial product lines like general liability, commercial auto, property, BOP and excess/umbrella.
  • Active state insurance license or able to obtain one shortly upon hire.
  • This is a salaried position with full benefits and no travel requirements.
