This
Group Benefits Account Manager position is newly created based on growth within
this independent agency's life and health division. It requires a very
detailed individual with knowledge of group medical and ancillary benefits
plans written through multiple insurance companies. You will support the
producer and senior operations manager with client service projects, work
directly with the clients on policy administration and take on additional
duties necessary to helping the team work efficiently and effectively.
Group
Employee Benefits Account Manager Responsibilities
Create
and maintain client information, policies and plans in the agency's management
system. Assist with documents and processing for marketing,
implementation and enrollments. Organize and conduct client open enrollments.
Assist
the account executives with Broker of Record letters, preparing RFPs, reports,
proposals and summaries.
Follow
up with clients on billing, claims and enrollment issues. Respond to
customer inquiries about eligibility and follow through with necessary research
and/or clarification from the insurance companies to resolve the matter.
Group Employee Benefits Account Manager Qualifications:
Approximately 4-5 years of applicable account management experience; experience working with group medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance programs.
Active state license.
Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other database applications. Able to work within a team and under deadlines.
Effective
communicator with strong interpersonal client management skills. Able to
work independently and under deadlines. Can manage multiple tasks and
open client files at once.
