This is a
fabulous opportunity for a self-motivated candidate to join a growing
department of a large well-respected insurance agency. The ideal
candidate will possess a strong technical background along with the ability to
influence and lead others. In this position you will work with producers
and account managers alike to find solutions for clients and prospects within
the Colorado market.

Benefits Account Executive Responsibilities
Act as liaison between client and insurance carriers in order to independently
resolve all service problems.
Specifically, assist the client in resolving billing, claim, eligibility,
COBRA, and customer service problems or issues.
Independently manage (with input from the Client Manager/Team Leader)
transitional insurance company materials. These include: master
application and binder check; termination letters to the terminated insurance
companies; delivery of enrollment kits; employee booklets (confirming benefits
once the booklets or booklet proofs are delivered).
Independently manage (with input from Client Manager/Team Leader) the
enrollment process by coordinating the various implementation items, including:
confirming benefits to be communicated during the enrollment meetings with the
client and the insurance companies; preparing or obtaining employee enrollment
materials; coordinating employee meeting schedule.
Make regular service/relationship calls to clients as determined by the Client
Manager/Team Leader or self. These service/relationship calls include:
routine phone calls (minimum of once a month); on-site service visits; business
lunches approved by Client Service Manager; other entertainment events approved
by Client Service Manager.
Prepare all reports deemed necessary by Client Service Manager. These
reports include: implementation checklists (new business and renewal)
and booklet plan design checklist.
Verify accuracy of policies and booklet proofs including Benefits at a Glance.
Ensure that up to date booklets are on file for all clients for all lines of
coverage.
Keep current on legislation directly affecting clients and the benefits
insurance industry and effectively communicate legislative issues to clients.
Monitor and support the team coordinator for the following: keeping
administrative tools up to date; assisting with service activities; resolving
issues; training and development for career advancement.
Employee
Benefits Account Executive Requirements
8-10 years
of experience, preferably in a retail agency setting.
Experience
working with larger self-funded cases a must.
State
L&H insurance license required.
Additional
professional designations (CEBS, RHU, REBC) a plus.
