Vice President, Senior Commercial Producer-Chicago, IL

As a senior commercial insurance producer you will be among an elite group of sales executives building up a practice for this independent brokerage in downtown Chicago.  The agency has a successful organization based around a sales philosophy that allows a senior producer to contribute individually but also to serve as mentor to junior producers seeking guidance and even support during elements of the sales process as they strive to develop a book of business in the image of senior team members.  This role will help take on some of those mentorship duties in addition to being a valuable business developer.

Vice President, Senior Commercial Producer Responsibilities:
  • Be actively involved in the sales process as the new business originator and primary client consultant.  The agency wants its sales executives to be risk consultants and risk managers who generate business on the basis of value adds and service rather than winning in a bidding process.
  • Participate in the promotion of a practice group within the firm.  Certainly they are receptive to individuals who can bring in an established network of contacts in a niche. Examples of which include, but aren't limited to, construction, manufacturing, wholesale/distribution and professional services.
  • Create a team where you and the other senior producers help build up the junior producers, ones either still in the validation process or who need guidance on balancing a large renewal book while still maintaining a high level of new business production that built their big client base in the first place.

Vice President, Senior Commercial Producer Requirements:
  • Established track record of insurance brokerage sales with a clear sense for personal, tried and true methods of prospecting, networking and relationship building with larger commercial risk management accounts.
  • A desire to serve in a senior capacity which is marked by an ability to meet substantial annual revenue goals but more so take junior producers under your wing spending time with them to develop prospecting strategies, attend joint sales calls, provide marketing suggestions and prepare for closing presentations.
  • State insurance license.
