Senior Account Executive, Employee Benefits-Chicago, IL

Our client is a leading independent agency in the Midwest and one of the largest in the nation. They are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Senior Account Executive for their Employee Benefits team. You will provide strategic planning and consulting advice to customers and prospects to include production of requests for proposal, coordinating vendor responses, analyzing RFP responses, and preparing client reports with recommendations.
Senior Account Executive, Employee Benefits Responsibilities:
  • Develop implementation plans with clients to include coordinating and conducting enrollment meetings and training of client’s benefit personnel.
  • Review agreements and/or documents for accuracy.
  • Meet at least quarterly with clients to review large claims, monthly claims experience, and conduct on-site claims visits.
  • Develop financial projections for clients using actuarial modeling and deliver reports with commentary.
  • Supervise and interview potential candidates for team employment.

Senior Account Executive, Employee Benefits Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7-10 years of applicable experience in a brokerage/retail agency environment.
  • IL Life/Health license required.
  • Experience with self-funded medical plans and an agency management system preferred.
  • Additional designations such as RHU, REBC, and CEBS preferred.

Senior Commercial Account Executive, Team Supervisor-Colorado Springs, CO

This position has been created by the executive leadership within an independent insurance agency to help support the firm’s growth initiatives.  Seeking a true leader, the firm would like to identify a subject matter expert in larger, complex property and casualty insurance business who can manage a client base as the lead Account Executive but also supervise the account management team.  This role has the potential for even more growth opportunities in the future if you want to continuing honing your management skills.

Senior Commercial Account Executive, Team Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Handle the leadership over a large, complex commercial book of business.  The accounts vary by industry but include risk management sized businesses including accounts with alternative funding and captive programs.
  • Actively participate in integrating the value added services the agency offers or can access for clients.  Help educate insureds on product offerings and regularly sit down with them for a review of their insurance plans.
  • Help coordinate marketing efforts related either to individual renewals of large accounts to establishing close allegiances with key underwriters.  Work with the producers and the client directly on preparing for renewals, proposal presentations and pricing/coverage negotiations.
  • Manage the account management team to ensure proper policies and procedures are being followed.  Handle training and mentorship of new or junior staff.  Take charge over workflows.  Help maintain best practices and review audits/compliance matters.

Senior Commercial Account Executive, Team Supervisor Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred; advanced education or insurance designations are highly desired.
  • State insurance license.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience at the account executive level with exposure to complex risks as a client advisor/consultant for a retail insurance agency and/or brokerage.  Prior team leadership or formal management experience is preferred.

Senior Account Executive, Employee Benefits-Washington, D.C.

Our client is a leading full services independent insurance agency. They are looking for a senior level client services executive to assist their dynamic and growing team in Washington, D.C. You will provide strategic planning and consulting advice to customers and prospects within a specific healthcare and hospital vertical regarding their employee benefits programs.

Senior Account Executive Responsibilities:
  • Work with internal team of consultants, actuaries, and account managers to provide daily service to clients.
  • Prepare presentations for existing and prospective customers, outlining portfolio of consulting products and services.
  • Produce RFPs, coordinate vendor response, analyze RFP response and prepare client reports with recommendations.
  • Act as project lead to push deliverables through the pipeline to end result.
  • Provide expertise and sound judgment after careful in-depth analysis of complete health and welfare program.

Senior Account Executive Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
  • 6-10 years of industry experience in a similar high level role, preferably with a large consulting firm or insurance agency.
  • State Life/Health license required.
