This is a
senior level executive position in the Midwest with a reputable insurance
brokerage. The firm seeks an experienced professional with practice leader
qualifications to oversee the non-sales operations of its employee benefits
division. This is a challenging role that requires an innovative, forward
thinking business professional who first and foremost has deep health and
welfare insurance knowledge. You're viewed by the client service as the expert
on self-funded group medical plans, marketing and client management. A highly
desired candidate draws on their previous experience as a lead consultant or
Account Executive in their past experience.
Additional skills necessary for
this role is involvement in project management, operations and business development
(though not as a producer).
A major component of this role is
business leadership. Its critical a qualified individual have demonstrated
success building cohesive teams, developing internal processes and procedures
and training and developing talent. Through your success you can confidently
recommend improvements, make changes you know are necessary and take action on
items that improve the company's ability to service its clients. Team building
and morale are critical goals of this role. This will come through appropriate
communication between the sales and service team and clear definition in
current and future roles available to the account managers and account
executives. Finally, in these initiatives you're able to spearhead the agency's
goal of upgrading its client deliverables.
