Commercial Truck Producers - OH, IN, IL
Our client is a respected independent agency making significant contributions to the transportation insurance industry. They seek a sales executive with commercial insurance experience to join their team. Prior experience specializing in truck insurance is not required. In fact, it’s preferred as the agency intends to train all of its new producers into large account sales as well as diversify into other commercial insurance niches. Additionally, as the agency has grown sales executives have been hired remotely. Working from home is an option in this position. You would have support from other virtual offices outside of Ohio as far west as Chicago and as far south as Nashville.
Commercial Transportation Producer Responsibilities:
Target commercial transportation accounts, fleet and non-fleet, through a combination of industry networking, referrals and cold calling.
Develop a prospect pipeline through relationships that are your own; all types of business development methods can be utilized (cold calling, direct mailing, association networking and cross selling).
Participate in all phases of the sales process including ongoing client consultation and renewal marketing.
Commercial Transportation Producer Qualifications:
At least 2-3 years of commercial insurance sales experience with an independent agency.
Active P&C license.
Willingness to learn the nuances of insuring trucking companies; can travel to see accounts as needed; takes a consultative approach to sales.
Compensation is commensurate with experience and provides a salary with first year new business commissions.

Loss Control Specialist - Memphis, TN
My client needs a loss control specialist that has a strong focus on trucking and transportation. Ideally this person will have a strong OSHA background and understand the finer points of work comp. At the end of the day they just need to be a really strong safety person that understands wheels.
Our client is an important part of the independent agency community in Mid-South. Over the years the agency has built an excellent reputation within the manufacturing community and insures many specialty businesses that operate in Tennessee and bordering states. As factors continue to change for these clients the need for risk management expertise remains critical to the agency's sales success. In this position, Loss Control Specialist, you'll address safety issues of the agency's manufacturing clients from Memphis. Parts of northeast Mississippi and Arkansas in addition to statewide accounts will be included in your territory. You will be involved in safety training, program implementation and compliance monitoring. This position may also take on a large portion of the training seminars the agency puts on with clients.
Loss Control Specialist Responsibilities:
You act as a partner alongside business executives and safety managers to observe the work culture, identify hazards to their property and employees and make recommendations on plans to mitigate claims.
You'll create, implement and monitor safety programs that will comply with state regulations and reduce general liability, property, auto liability and work comp claims.
You'll facilitate employee training sessions and make sure the manufacturers are compliant with state and federal regulations on workplace safety as well as premise and products liability.
You'll help educate clients on OSHA standards, develop programs for accident reporting and prevention, risk management mediation techniques and how to analyze loss history.

At least five (5) years experience in an occupational safety, risk management or insurance risk management.
Repeated history of successful safety management consulting with manufacturers.
Bachelor's degree preferred and industry certifications.
Experience as a teacher or safety trainer is highly desired.
